MESA-OUTREACH, INC. held it’s annual “Stuff the Bus” event, on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Bear Creek United Methodist Church. This cherished community initiative, made possible with funding provided by the Charity Guild of Catholic Women and in-kind donations, aims to provide essential school supplies for underserved students in the Bear Creek and surrounding areas, ensuring that every child has the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

Now in its 12th year, the “Stuff the Bus” event has grown into a cornerstone of community support, bringing together local residents, businesses, and organizations to make a tangible difference in the lives of students. Thanks to the generous support of the community and with the help of some incredible volunteers, this year’s event successfully distributed 850+ school supply packets to 6 different elementary schools. In addition to school supplies, schools also received backpacks, Kleenex, and snacks for students in need.

MESA-OUTREACH, INC. extends its heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, donors, and sponsors who made the “Stuff the Bus” event a success. Special appreciation goes the Charity Guild of Catholic Women, Bear Creek United Methodist Church, Olin, Lisa Modglin, Canisha “CeCe” Caraballo, and our board whose support and involvement were crucial in making this event possible.

“We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to assist families in need of school supplies for their children,” said Janelle Meyer, Board Member and Treasurer of MESA-OUTREACH, INC. “’Stuff the Bus’ is an example of the many things we can do when we come together to support our community. We are investing in the future of students and helping those who may have gone to school empty handed.”
